#queencityatcs2015 information sent!

We are so excited to have almost 60 participants for the Queen City Artist Trading Card Swap! Thank you to all who have registered. You should have received an email from us with your 9 artists and some more information. In case you need to reference it, this is what your letter said:

Hello Queen City Art Swap Participant! Thank you for registering for the Queen City Artist Trading Card Swap (also known on social media as #queencityatcs2015). We are so excited to have you participate!

You have agreed to make NINE artist trading cards, sized 2.5” by 3.5”, of any medium you desire, and mail them by SEPTEMBER 14, 2015 to the following participants:

(artist info here)

If you are willing to make more to bring with you to our Trading Card Swap on September 8th, we encourage you to do so. Location and time to be determined.

We do have a few rules:

  • Please use your honor system and follow through on this swap. We won’t be checking in like we did on the last one, because of the volume of people to account for.

  • Somewhere on the back of the card it must have the following information: Your Name, date, title (if applicable), and Queen City Art Swap 2015, card 1/9, 2/9, etc. You can go online and find printouts that some traders like to use. We aren’t picky.

  • Be creative! If you decide to do 9 of the same card, make sure they are still individually created by you. Variety is encouraged, but they can all follow a similar theme if you want. These are reflections of your art and style, so be thoughtful on what you send to your artists.

  • They must be mailed by September 14th. You can mail them as early as next week if you have them finished already. But be patient if you don’t receive any until a few months from now!

  • During your creation process, if you would like to be featured on our facebook or instagram account, tag @queencityartswap and #queencityatcs2015

Please email us with any questions. We’ve been excited seeing some of your ideas so far, and can’t wait to see what everyone has in store.

Keep an eye on your email. We will send out more information about the Art Swap later. The last one we had was a lot of fun; it’s an opportunity to meet local artists, and in this case, trade and swap (barter?) your cards with other participants. Just make sure your 9 are accounted for and set aside for their specific artist!

Thank you so much! Have fun and happy creating!
