How do art swaps work?
When you register, you agree to complete a piece of art (or more, depending on the swap) and mail it to your designated partner. In return, you should receive a unique and original piece of art from another participant. The more people that sign up, the more fun these are. The Queen City Art Swaps are "secret swaps," which means you do not divulge who you will be sending your art to, until after the mail date.
How much does this cost?
The swap itself is free! You will be in charge of your own mailing fees, and the cost for your own supplies and time in making your pieces. We do ask that each artist mail their final pieces in a timely fashion, and that they are packaged for safe travels.

I missed the last swap. Will there be another?
We plan on having four swaps a year, all with different themes. The inaugural swap was an artist's pick, where they created a piece based on the personal information of their assigned artist. We had over 50 participants with amazing pieces created! In 2015, we will have an Artist Trading Card Swap in the summer, an ornament swap in the fall, and in 2016 a mystery theme swap. Stay tuned for more information on those!

Do I have to live in 417-land to participate?
No! We are open to anyone who wants to participate. In our inaugural swap, we had people from all over the world, including Sao Paulo, Brazil! As long as you are willing to mail to another state, you are able to participate!
