Artist Trading Cards started as a mail art movement, where artists create small pieces of work, typically on paper, sized 2.5inches x 3.5 inches, and swap with other artists. The medium varies, but the size stays the same.
Imagine the trading card as your own personal business card. Each is unique but still has your point of view and artistic expression.
The summer Queen City Art Swap will be #queencityatcs2015 (Queen City Artist Trading Card Swap 2015). We will ask each participant to commit to making 9 trading cards and mailing to 9 different artists (selected by the coordinators). In return, each participant should receive 9 cards from other artists involved. This is a fun swap for artists of all levels! We hope you join us!
We will have a Mix & Mingle Swap, where participants can continue to trade their cards or swap for new ones. Therefore, we encourage participants to make more, even though 9 is the committed amount.

June 8th - July 5th REGISTRATION
September 8th - SWAP PARTY in Springfield, Missouri (location TBD)
September 14th - FINAL MAIL DATE
